One showroom, many doors to the world
The Meda showroom is where the world of Flexform takes shape in space and time. Designed in 1959, it remains an expression of the enduring relationship between the company, design and the territory from which it grew. To mark the sixtieth anniversary of its construction, the building underwent an extensive renovation that brought its spaces up to date while preserving its original identity and character.
Adjacent to the production facilities, the corporate showroom extends over more than 2,000 square meters and houses the entire collection, from the most recent introductions to pieces that have marked important chapters in the company’s history. Each setting is envisioned as an ideal living environment, designed to seamlessly express Flexform’s values of quality, comfort and authenticity, alongside the manufacturing and artisanal culture that has always defined it. The showroom is also home to the Materials Library, an evolving archive focused on materials research: fabrics, leather, wood, marble, stone, metal and surfaces for indoor and outdoor use. More than an archive, it is a place for consultation and comparison, where architects, designers and clients can develop their own design projects by exploring the quality and variety of the materials available.
From Meda, this language has gradually spread outward. In 2022, it found a new expression in Milan, on Via della Moscova in the heart of Brera, with Flexform’s first Italian Flagship Store, designed by ACPV Architects, the practice founded by Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel. Arranged over two levels, the showroom brings together timeless materials and contemporary elements in a sophisticated setting where every detail contributes to an environment that is both refined and functional, in which elegance and innovation converge.
Milan is not an isolated showcase, but a model for Flexform’s broader international presence. Today, Flexform flagship stores extend from London to Sydney, Shanghai to New York, and Singapore to Tokyo. The cities change. The architecture changes. Yet the Flexform style remains recognizable. Each space responds to the context in which it is located, while expressing the same sense of restraint, comfort and welcome.
