Sanlorenzo, SD126 “Takara”
Elegant lines, long-range cruising capability and a strong focus on the quality of the living spaces distinguish this superyacht by the Italian shipyard.
A semi-displacement superyacht measuring approximately 38 meters, Takara is the twelfth exemplar of the SD126 series, designed as a contemporary interpretation of the tradition of large cruising yachts. The largest model in the SD range, the yacht is constructed of fiberglass and achieves a thoughtful balance between comfort, performance and customization options.
The project combines Sanlorenzo’s classic identity with a more contemporary design language. The balanced proportions of the hull, expansive side windows and clean exterior lines recall the great transatlantic liners of the 1930s, reinterpreted through modern technology and spatial solutions.
The sophisticated, contemporary interiors reveal a strong Asian influence, also reflected in the yacht’s name. The material language emerges from a dialogue between natural wood, metal surfaces and artisan-crafted details. Together, they create warm, sophisticated spaces in which materials traditionally associated with yacht interiors are reinterpreted through a more contemporary aesthetic.
Throughout the interiors, particular attention is also paid to visual continuity and flexibility of use. In the main saloon, architectural elements and furnishings are crafted to enhance the perception of space while contributing to a refined, welcoming atmosphere. Contemporary design pieces, including seating systems and accessories from the Flexform collections, are integrated into the interior architecture, reinforcing the yacht’s residential character. The spacious living area features the generously proportioned Groundpiece sectional sofa. Completing the setting are a refined Bangkok ottoman in cowhide suede, a Tindari coffee table with marble top and matching Tindari ottomans.
